Thinkpoint is a malware which causes your desktop being disappeared.

This malware is very sticky to your system and lots of traditional cleaning programs such as combofix can not clean it up.

Do not try to clean hotfix.exe from Regedit in vain, that will not work.

Please follow below instructions to clean your system from Thinkpoint malware;

1 – Download Malwarebytes from here into a clean flashdisk.

2 – Restart your computer.

3 – Press F8 button on keyboard while your system restarts.

4 – Choose “Safe Mode” from menu.

5 – Thinkpoint will work, never mind in this stage.

6 – Press CTRL + ALT + DEL buttons and find “hotfix.exe” in application list then disable it.

7 – Plug in your flashdisk to your computer.

8 – Press CTRL + ALT + DEL buttons and find Malwarebytes by using “New Task” on menu and install it to your computer.

9 – Once installed run Malwarebytes software and let it scan the system.

10 – Remove all founded files.

11 – Restart your computer and enjoy your life without Thinkpoint
